halloween

Once again, this is out of order.  But since I'm making a book out of the blog for posterity's sake (I did it last year and plan on doing it every year as our photo album), I feel like I should go back and add a few things that I missed.

Here are the pictures from Halloween - I dressed Jed up as Dwight Shrute from The Office.  We missed the trunk-or-treat at church because Jed and Scott were flying back from Utah that night, so I almost didn't dress Jed up at all.  He doesn't care about candy and I wasn't sure I wanted to let him stay up that late...but I ended up taking him out on a short and early route with a couple friends who have small children, so he got to be Dwight after all.  We got lots of incorrect guesses on what he was, including a CEO and a politician.

For the trunk-or-treat, I was asked to do an intro skit as a witch.  I was given a short script written by one of the YW leaders, but she said I could change whatever I wanted.  So I practiced and practiced it, and ended up changing quite a bit of it.  It went pretty well that night - but I got a lot more interaction from the kids than I had anticipated (and a lot more background talking from the adults, which made me rather annoyed!), so it threw me off a bit.  But I got lots of compliments.
