myrtle beach

This is really, really late - so sadly I can't write as detailed of an account as I did for the family reunion trip - but I would be remiss if I didn't at least post the pictures from our Myrtle Beach trip!

In early September, Scott, Jed and I packed up and drove down to Myrtle Beach to spend a week there with the St. Clairs.  We stayed at Scott's Uncle Dave's house, which is beautiful - and we were a little nervous with the kids that something would get ruined.  But other than a small incident with the coffee table and a stick, everything was fine.

We spent a lot of time on the beach, of course! I wasn't sure if Jed would be scared of the waves or not, but he loved the beach!  He would run into the waves, and laugh when they knocked him over.  He got incredibly sandy but didn't care in the slightest.  He chased birds, threw shells, and even tried out the body-board (on only the very smallest of waves!).  Besides the beach, we spent time at Huntington State Park, Broadway at the Beach (basically a boardwalk with lots of places to spend money), and at a Pelicans' baseball game (an affiliate of the Texas Rangers).  We swapped baby-sitting with the St. Clairs so we could each have a date night, and Scott and I went to a Mexican restaurant and then rode the Skywheel on ours.

Jed loved the body board!
