summer adventure day 1

Sometimes I don't update the blog for a while because nothing particularly fascinating has gone on to post about (this is less true now that I have a baby - there are ALWAYS cute pictures to post).  But this time, I feel like I haven't written in forever - but it's because SO MUCH has gone on that I've had hardly a spare moment to document it.  We're still on vacation, but things have quieted down (plus I have internet access now), so I'm going to try to catch up.  It will take several blog posts and several days to do it, though, so buckle up.

DAY 1:
We took 2 flights into Spokane, WA on July 20th to begin our 3-week trip.  It was Jed's first time to fly, and  though he had some fussy moments because he couldn't get comfortable enough to take a good nap (and we woke him at 3:30am to leave for the airport), overall he was very well-behaved.

In the airport, WAY too early in the morning.

When we got to Spokane, we rented a car (for way more than we originally had thought we would pay) and drove to Babb, MT.  After driving around for an hour (there was no cell service or internet access for a good couple hours in any direction and we had NO idea what cabins we were staying in), we finally found the family.  All of Scott's family except for a brother-in-law and 2 nieces stayed in Babb for a few days so we could visit Glacier National Park.  After a long day of traveling, we were very glad to arrive and go to bed.
